Eucryphia – genus from Chile, Tasmania and E. mainland Australia. 7 species. Family – Cunoniaceae. Common names: Pinkwood, Tasmanian leatherwood. Evergreen shrubs and trees, leaves dark green above, light green below, pinnate or simple with oblong elliptical leaflets. Flowers resemble the Rosaceae family, white, cream or pink with 4-5 petals. Often scented, flowering from spring through to autumn.
